Solution

Let the present age of the man = x

Let the present age of the son = y

Now, According to the question

x=5y and x+2=4(y+2)

∵x+2=4(y+2)

⟹5y+2=4y+8

⟹5y−4y=8−2

∴y=6

x=5y=5(6)=30

x = 30

Putting the value of x

The present age of the man = 30

Ans the present age of the son = 2×30
