The force inside the barrel is F = 31087.3 N

Explanation:

We know that

V = Ah

Here A is the cross-section area and h is the height.

Now h =12m = 1200cm

and A = π x r^2

A = 3.14×(0.30)^2 cm^2 = 0.385 cm^2

Therefore, V = 461.8 cm^3 = 0.4618 L

Also m = ρ x V

Water density is ρ = 1kg / L

Mass = 0.4618 kg

At the bottom of the tube:

F = mg = 9.8×0.4618 = 4.53 N

The area of Barrel

B = π x R^2 = 3.14×20^2

B = 2642.08cm^2

Now  F = 4.53 × 2642.08 / 0.385

F = 31087.3N
