each side = 100m,
perimeter=400m
no of round= 2

distance= total distance

= 2×400

=800m

displacement= 0m

no of round=2.5

distance = 2.5×400

=1000m

displacement =200m

for distance

when run for 2.5 times...

the distance covered = [【4×s(side)】×2.5] =4×100×2.5=1000

when run for 2 times....

the distance covered = [【4×s(side)】×2]=4×100×2=800

for displacement when run for 2 times... displacement is 0 ( since the initial and final positions are same)

when run for 2.5 times displacement= 50(since it only covers half of one side of the square).

hope this may help you.
