When you stand before a mirror, distance of you from mirror is equal to distance between mirror to you.
Thus, if you will move towards the mirror with a velocity of 2 m/s , the mirror image will move towards to you with velocity of 2 m/s only.
Thus, your speed towards mirror + mirror image speed towards you is 4 m/s, 2+2 = 4 m/s.
