 \underline { \blue{ At \:present :}}

 Age \: of \: Son = x \: years

 Age \: of \: a \: man = 3x \: years

 \underline { \blue{ After\: 14 \: years:}}

 Age \: of \: Son = (x + 14) \: years

 Age \: of \: the \: man = ( 3x + 14 )\: years

/* According to the problem given */

 (3x+14) = 2(x+14)

 \implies (3x+14) = 2x+ 28

 \implies 3x - 2x  =  28 - 14

 \implies x  =  14

Therefore.,

 \red{ Present \: age \: of \: son } \green { = 14 \: years }

 \red{ Present \: age \: of \: the\:man  }\\= 3x \\= 3\times 14 \\ \green { = 42\: years }
