To cover 36 km at a speed of 12km/h, the normal time is 36/12 hrs. i.e 3 hrs.
Time taken for rest after 1km= 12 mins. i.e. 12/60 hrs.=1/5 hrs.
Total time taken to rest while covering 36 km =36×1/5 hrs.
=36/5 hrs.

Total time taken to cover 36 km= Normal time+Rest time
=(3+ 36/5)hrs.
=(3+7.2) hrs.
=10.2 hrs.

Hope that helps......

Dear Student,

★Answer:

Correct answer is 25  min.

★Step-by-step explanation:

➥Speed = 12 km/hr.

Total distance to be covered = 36 km.

Time taken to cover 1 km = 36 min.

Given :

After every kilometre, he takes rest for 3 minutes.

➥ Hence total time taken = 4 + 3 + 4 + 3 + 4 + 3 + 4 = 25 min.
