Part of Property

Answer: 0.20 part of property is left by man for his son.

Explanation:

given that

A man leaves 0.45 part of property for his wife

0.35 part of property for his daughter

And remaining for his son.

Need to determine what part of property man left for his son.

lets assume total property of man be represented by variable y.

As man leaves 0.45 part of property for his wife ,

=> property left for his wife = 0.45 × total property of man = 0.45y

As man leaves 0.35 part of property for his daughter,

=>  property left for his daughter= 0.35 × total property of man = 0.35y

And remaining property is for son

=> property left for his wife  + property left for his daughter + remaining property for son = Total property

=> 0.45y + 0.35y + remaining property for son = y

=> remaining property for son  = y -  0.45y - 0.35y

=>  remaining property for son  = y -  0.80y

=>  remaining property for son  = y( 1 - 0.80) = 0.20y

Out of y , 0.20y property is left for son

=>  part of property left for son = 0.20y/y = 0.20

Hence 0.20 part of property is left by man for his son.
