Let the total money of the man be Rs. x.

Money got by wife = Rs. x/2

Money got by son = Rs.x/3

Money got by daughter = Rs. 5000

⟹ x−(x/2+ x/3)=5000

⟹ 6x−3x−2x/6=5000

⟹ x/6=5000

⟹ x=5000×6

⟹ x=30,000

Therefore, total money that man leaves is Rs. 30,000.

Now, share of wife Rs. x/2 = Rs30000/2

= Rs. 15,000.

and share of son = Rs. x/3 = Rs 30000/3

= Rs. 10,000
