2/3+1/4=11/12
rest=1_11/12=1/12
1/12th of his property =15000
therefore the man has 15000 ×12=180000

Hey mate!!

Here's your answer

1) let the property of the man = Rs x

amount wife get = Rs x /3

amount daughter get = Rs x / 4

remaining amount = Rs 15000

x - x / 3 - x / 4 = 15000

( 12 x - 4x - 3x ) / 12 = 15000

5x / 12 = 15000

x = ( 15000 × 12 ) / 5

x = 3000 × 12

x = 36000

Therefore ,

The total amount the man left = x = Rs 36000

2) let son's age = x

   and ram's age = 4x

  5 years ago

ram's age = 4x - 5

son's age = x - 5

4x - 5 = 9(x - 5)

4x -5 = 9x - 45

45 - 5 = 9x -4x

40 = 5x

x = 40/5 = 8

Therefore,

son's age = x = 8

ram's age = 4x = 4*8 = 32
