A man lends a certain amount of money at 4% per annum. He also invested ₹156500 at 9/2 % per annum. At the end of the year the total interest is ₹115750. Find the money lend at 4% per annum.

For first year

P=12500,R=12%, T=1

Interest PRT ÷ 100 =1500

Amount=P+I=14000

For second year previous amount will be Principle

P=14000,R=15,T=1

Interest'= 14000 × 15× 1 ÷ 100

= 2100.

Similarly for third year

Interest''= 100

16100×18×1 =2898

Difference between CI 3 & CI 1

=2898−1500=1398
