Answer:

Rs.44,000

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the amount lent at 5% be denoted as "x"

Hence, the amount lent at 4% will be (60000 - x)

(sum of "x" and "60000 - x" is 60000)

Simple Interest = SI = (P*R*T)/100, where:

P = principal or initial amount

R = rate of interest per cent per year

T = number of years

First Part

P = x

R = 5 per cent per year

T = 1 year

SI = x * 5 * 1 / 100

   = 5x / 100

Second Part

P = 60000 - x

R = 4 per cent per year

T = 1 year

SI = (60000 - x) * 4 * 1 / 100

   = 4(60000 - x) / 100

We are given that total SI earned = Rs.2560

∴ 5x/100 + 4(60000 - x)/100 = 2560

∴ 5x + 4(60000 - x) = 256000

∴ 5x + 240000 - 4x = 256000

∴ x = 256000 - 240000

∴ x = 16000

∴ (60000 - x) = 60000 - 16000 = 44000

Amount lent at 4% is Rs.44,000

Verification

P = 16000; R = 5; T = 1 => SI = 800

P = 44000; R = 4; T = 1 => SI = 1760

Total SI = 800 + 1760 = 2560 ..(as given, thus verified)

HEy! mate

@π$\/\/€R ......❤️

let the amount lent at 4% be Rs. X .

Then , amount lent at 5%= Rs. ( 60,000-X )

According to the question ,

(60,000-X ) ×5×1 + 4×1 = 2560

100. 100

3,00,000-5X+4X = 2,56,000

X = 3,00,000- 2,56,000 = Rs. 44,000

ANSWER = Rs. 44,000 right answer 100%
