Step2 Find money that rest after the loss of 20 % :

= money that he had in the beginning - loss

= x - 0.2 x = x (1 - 0.2 ) = 0.8 x

step3 Find the money that he spended or the money that left with him :

money he spended = 25% of the rest money.

= 25 % of 0.8 x = 0.25 × 0.8 x = 0.2 x

now,money left with him

=rest money - spended money

= 0.8 x - 0.2 x = 0.6 x

according to question :

money left with him = Rs 528

0.6 x = 528

x = 528 / 0.6 = Rs 880

therefore,

he had Rs 880 in the beginning .
