selling price = [34 × 120] ÷ 60
= [4080] ÷ 60
= 68

so, to gain 20% he should sold oranges at 68 rupees.

hope it help you....^-^

Answer: There are 17 oranges a man should sell to gain 20%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

In 1 rupee, a man lost 40% by selling oranges at the rate of 34.

In 1 rupee, a man gain 20% by selling oranges at the rate of x.

Since at 100-40=60% he get 34 oranges at 1 rupee.

At 100+20 = 120% he get x oranges at 1 rupee.

According to question, it becomes,

\dfrac{60\times 34}{120}\\\\=\dfrac{34}{2}\\\\=17

Hence, there are 17 oranges a man should sell to gain 20%.
