A man of height 1.5m observes the angle of elevation of the top of the pole situated in front of him finds to be 60°.If the height of the pole is 121.5 m, find the distance between the pole and the man.

Here distance of the man from tree is given

BC=DE=36m

And height of man =BD=CE=1.5m

From the ΔABC,

tanθ= AC/BC

tan60°=AC/36

AC=36×3

=62.35

Now, height of the tree =AC+CE

=62.35+1.5

=63.85

Therefore, height of the tree is 63.85m
