a man of mass 60kg his weight on a weighing machine placed inside a lift. the ratio of tHe weights of the man recorded when the lift is ascending up with a uniform speed of 2m/s to when it is descending down with a uniform speed of 5m/s will be:​

Mass of man m= 60kg

Weight of the man W=mg=60×10 = 600N

Weight of the man in the lift ascending or descending  with any uniform velocity will be same as in stationary state. i.e 600N

Hence the required ratio is 1
