B)downward with a unifrom acceleration of 5m/s

A) if lift os moving upwards with uniform speed the acceleration will be zero.
so, F = m ( a + g )
F = 70(0+10) (we can take g approximately equals to 10m/s^2)
F= 700N

B) F= m ( g - a)
F = 70 ( 10 - 5 )
F = 70 × 5
F = 350N
