A man of mass 80 kg in a lift is moving upwards with an velocity of 8 m/sec and is brought to rest over a distance of 20 m . Find the force exerted on the man by the floor of elevator g = 10 m/ s^2

height = 20m

acceleration due to gravity=10m/s²

potential energy = mgh

80*10*20

16000j

we know

work done = energy

work done = force * distance

16000 = f * 20

16000/20= f

800 = force✔✔✔
