At the end of running the man faced toward the southward direction and is 0 m far with respect to the starting point.

Given:

The man runs 30m toward the north, turns left and run 15m, turns left, runs 14m more, turns left again, runs 12m, and finally turns right and runs 16m.

To Find:

The direction of the man with respect to the starting point and how far is he from the starting point.

Solution:

Refer to the picture for the direction and ending point of the man.

As in the picture, at first,

The man runs 30m toward the north.

Then turns left, and runs 15m i.e, he faces west to run.

After that,

The man again turns left and runs 14m more, i.e, he faced in the southward direction.

Next,

He then turns left again and runs 12m facing an eastward direction.

And ultimately,

He turns right and runs 16m which means he faced for southward direction.

So the ultimate direction of the man is southward. And the total distance traveled southward is (14 + 16)m i.e, 30 m in total, which is again equivalent to his 30 m run northward.

All this implies that at the end of running the man faced toward the southward direction and is 0 m far with respect to the starting point.
