The man's salary before taxation is Rs. 2400.

Let the salary be Rs. 100

Amount paid as tax is 5℅ of 100 = Rs.5

Therefore, the remainder is Rs 95

Amount spent from this remainder= 95% of 95 = Rs. 90.25

Now after spending 95% of the remaining money, amount left = Rs 4.75

Now, according to the given conditions we have,

When amount left is Rs 4.75, the salary is Rs. 100

So, when amount left is Rs. 114, salary is Rs. 2400.
