<b><u><i>Given -</i></u></b>

A man covers 2/15 part of his journey by train.
Then he covers 9/20 part by Tonga
Then he covers the remaining 10 km on foot

<b><u><i>To Find -</i></u></b>

The length of his journey.

<b><u><i>Solution - </i></u></b>

Let the total length of journey be x km.
_____________

Then, length covered by train
= 2/15 of total
= 2/15 × x
= 2x/15
_____________

And, length covered by Tonga
= 9/20 of total
= 9/20 × x
= 9x/20
_____________

And, length covered on foot
= 10 km
_____________

Now, according to the question,

total length covered = length covered by train + length covered by Tonga + length covered on foot

==> x = 2x/15 + 9x/20 + 10

==> x = 8x + 27x + 600/60

==> x = 35x + 600/60

Cross multiplying, we get

==> 60(x) = 1(35x + 600)

==> 60x = 35x + 600

==> 60x - 35x = 600

==> 25x = 600

==> x = 600/25

==> x = 24
