The pitch will decrease because flute a musical instrument which produce sound with its air columns . and it is the law of sound that sound travels in a medium . if its holes are closed so the flute will not produce so loud sound compare to when flute is producing sound without any closed hole

As the frequency of vibration of an air coloumn in any open end pipe is inversely proportional to the effective length of the air coloumn, the closing of holes near the mouth of the artists results in a rather short length , thereby ,resulting in a vibration of high frequency.Since pitch is dependent on the frequency, it will as well increase.Hence, after much deliberation and consideration I have arrived at the conclusion that the pitch will increase.
Hope it helps...I had just finished analysing my performance in the physics examination, when I saw this.
