Let x,y denot the values of chair&tables

2x+3y= 800----(1)

4x+3y=1000----(2)

__________

- 2x+0 =-200

2x =200

x=200/2

x=100

Then the cost of 3 chairs ,

3(x)=3(100)

the cost of three chairs ie Rs.300

put x=100 in (1)

2(100)+3y=800

200+3y=800

3y=800-200

3y=600

y=600/3

y=200

Then the cost of 3 tables,

3(y)=3(200)

the cost of 3 tables is Rs.600

Answer:

Let the cost of 1 chair be ₹x and cost of 1 table be ₹y.

⇒But it is also given that table costs ₹25 more than a chair.

⇒cost of 1 table =  ₹y   =   ₹(x+25)

According to question,

⇒3x+2y=₹800

⇒3x+2(x+25)=800

⇒3x+2x+50=800

⇒5x=750

⇒x=₹15

So, y= ₹(15+25)= ₹40

Cost of 3 tables and 4 chairs = 4x+3y

                                                =4(15)+3(40)

                                                =60+120

                                                =₹180
