CP of 6 stamps = 1 × 6 = Rs 6
purchased seven stamps each costing 50 paise
so 7 stamps costs= Rs 3.50
total=3.50+6=9.50p
change he got s 12-9.50= Rs 2.50/-

c.p of 6 stamps = 1rs.
= 6x1 = 6rs.
c.p of 7 stamps = 3.50
total c.p= 6+3.50
= 9.50
therefore total paid money- total cost price
= 12-9.50
= 2.50rs.
