Solution!!
The concept of profit and loss has to be used here.
CP of plot = Rs 40,000
Spent on registration = Rs 6,000
CP of 1 shop = Rs 4,000
CP of 16 shops = Rs 64,000
Total CP = Rs 40,000 + Rs 6,000 + Rs 64,000
Total CP = Rs 1,10,000
There are 12 shops. 2 are sold for Rs 30,000 each and the remaining are sold at Rs 10,000 each.
SP of 1 shop = Rs 30,000
SP of 2 shops = Rs 60,000
Shops remaining = 12 - 2 = 10
SP of 1 shop = Rs 10,000
SP of 10 shops = Rs 1,00,000
Total SP = Rs 60,000 + Rs 1,00,000
Total SP = Rs 1,60,000
As we see, the total SP is more than total CP.
SP>CP
Profit = SP - CP
Profit = Rs 1,60,000 - Rs 1,10,000
Profit = Rs 50,000
Profit% = (Profit/CP) × 100
Profit% = (50,000/1,10,000) × 100
Profit% = (5/11) × 100
Profit% ≈ 45.45
More information:-
If SP>CP, then it is profit.
If CP>SP, then it is loss.
Profit = SP - CP
Loss = CP - SP
Profit% = (Profit/CP) × 100
Loss% = (Loss/CP) × 100
CP → Cost Price
SP → Selling Price
GIVEN:-
CP of Plot = 40,000.
SP = 6,000.
TO FIND:-
Gain & Loss.
SOLUTION:-
CP of 1 Shop = ₹4,000.
So,
CP of 16 Shops = ₹64,000.
Hence,
Total CP = ₹40,000 + ₹6,000 + 64,000
= ₹1,10,000.
there are 12 shops to or sold for ₹30,000 each and the remaining are sold at ₹10,000 each.
SP of 1 Shop = ₹30,000
SP of 2 Shops = ₹60,000
Shops Remaining = 12 - 2 = 10
SP of 1 Shop = ₹10,000
SP of 10 Shops = ₹1,00,000
So,
Total SP = ₹60,000 + ₹1,00,000
= ₹ 1,60,000
As we see that, total SP is more than total CP.
SP > CP.
Profit = SP - CP
= ₹1,60,000 - 1,10,000
= ₹50,000.
Profit % = ( Profit/CP )×100
= ( 50,000 / 1,10,000 )× 100
= 5/11 × 100
= 45.45%.
