A man purchased some books at 4 for Rs. 39 and sold them at 3 for Rs. 42 thereby gaining Rs. 51. How many books did he purchase?​

Answer:

first you find the selling price of 4 books equal to 56 then you separate it from the cost price you will get 17 then 51 divide by 17 get you will 3 then multiplied from 4 then you will get 12 so a man has purchased 12 books
