Answer:

As 8 dozen eggs cost Rs. 480, so 1 egg will cost

As profit of man should be 10% which means he should sell all eggs at Rs

528 i.e. Rs 528

As 8 of his eggs are found broken so left eggs are 12 × 8 − 8 = 88

So, he has to sell 88 eggs in Rs 528 to earn 10% profit

So, cost of one egg should be 528/88 = 6

i.e. Rs. 6

So the retailer will sell his egg at cost of Rs.6
