A man pushing a cart down slow. Suddenly the cart starts moving faster and we wants to slow down.what should be do.

He should either hold the cart tightly or get on to the front of the cart wheels to slow down the motion

the man should be exerting force in the opposite direction of the force ( i.e. pull the cart) to slow down the movement.
