Answer:

Work done by both = 1000 joules

Power developed by first man = 50 watts

Power eveloped by second man = 20 watts

Explanation:

Given:

  • Mass of first box = 50 kg
  • Height to which first box was raised = 2 metres
  • Time taken for the first box to be raised = 20 seconds
  • Mass of second box = 50 kg
  • Height to which second box was raised = 2 metres
  • Time taken for the second box to be raised = 50 seconds

To compare:

  • Work done
  • Power developed by them

work done here will be the potential energy in this case

Work done by first man:

m×g×h

50×10×2

=1000 Joules

Work done by second man:

m×g×h

50×10×2

=1000 Joules

The work done byu both of them is equal to 1000 joules

Power developed by first man:

Power =\frac{Work}{Time}

Power = \frac{1000}{20} = 50 watts

Power developed by second man:

Power =\frac{Work}{Time}

Power =\frac{1000}{50} = 20 watts

The work done is same but the power developed by the first man is greater than the second man by 30 watts
