A man raises a box of mass 50 kg to a height of 2 m in 20 s, while another man raises the same box to the same height in 50 s. (a) Compare : (i) the work done, and (ii) the power developed by them. (b) Calculate : (i) the work done, and (ii) the power developed by each man. Take 8 = 10 N kg-​

The work done by each person is,

W=50kg×10m/s

2*2m=1000 J

Power is equal to work done per unit time

Power of first person will be,

= 10sec/1000J

​=100W

Power of second person will be

= 50sec/1000J

​=20W
