let the total be x
buffaloes=21
cows=x/3+7
x/3+7=21
x=14×3
x=42
cows=42/3+7
cows=21
Total=42

let the total no of the animalbe x
a/q

X/3 + 7 = 21

=> x +21 /3= 21

=> x + 21 = 63

=> x = 42.
hence total no of animal is 42

in no of cows = x/3 +7 = 42/3 +7 => 21

hope it helps u
