Answer:

15 km

Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN DATA:

Speed of the bike=20km/hr

time taken =45min

To find:

The distance from the Man's house to the destination

Solution:

speed =  \frac{distance}{time}

1hr = 60min

speed of the bike =x/time

let x be the distance from man's house to destination

 \frac{20km}{60min}  =  \frac{x}{45min}

 \frac{20}{60} =  \frac{x}{45}

20 \times 45 = 60x

900 = 60x

 x =  \frac{900}{60}

x =  \frac{900 \div 3}{60 \div 3}

x =  \frac{300}{20}

x = 15

Therefore,x is the distance between the home and destination

Therefore,the distance from the man's house to the destination is 15 km
