work =force *displacement

so ,

in this he apply force for rotating wheels

but there is no diaplace.

hence,

the work is zero.

hope this answer helpful u

Work done:

Explanation:

  • Work done is the transfer of energy from one object to another by the application of force along a certain displacement.

        In simple words work done is the product of force

        and displacement.

        \bf{\textrm{Work done}= Force \times displacement}

        The S.I unit of work done is joule which is denoted by J.

  • In the given problem a man rotating the wheel of an amusement  slide     forty times in one minute it means that there is no displacement  of wheel.
  • Workdone by man is

        \bf{\textrm{Work done}= Force \times displacement}

        \bf{\textrm{Work done}= Force \times 0}

        \bf{\textrm{Work done}= 0

Work done is zero

So, there is no work done by man.
