A man runs for 100m along North and then 200 m along West. Find his net displacement.

When the runner runs 100 m to the north and 200 m the the west....
there is a triangle....

which has sides 100 and 200 .....
the hypotenuse that connect these sides is the net displacement.....
hypotenuse =√ 100^2+√200^2
= 300 m
