x=7(y)

after 5 years

(x+5)=4(y+5)

x+5=4y+20

7y+5=4y+20

7y -4y=20-5

3y=15

y=15/3

y=5

pretty it is given that x is 7(y)

so, x=7(5)

x=35

therefore the age of the man is 35 years

and the age of his son is 5 years
