Let the man's age be x and son's age be y
X=3y
10 years ago:
Fathers age=x-10
Sons age=y-10
X-10=5( y-10)
=x-10=5y-50
Substituting x value from first equation
3y-10=5y-50
=-5y+3y-10+50=0
-2y+40=0
-2y=-40
Y=20
Since x=3y
X=60
Hence fathers age is 60 and sons age is 20..
