let the man age be x and son age be y

y=3x

y+15=2y

y=15

let the son age be y  

accordin to 1st condition

x = 3y

according to 2nd condition

after 15 yrs

{x+15} = {y+15}

{x+15} =  2{y+15}

x+15 = 2y+30

x-2y  = 30- 15

x-2y = 15

from the first equation put the value pf x as 3y in second equation

3y-2y = 15

y = 15

now sustitue the value of y in first equation

x = 3y

x = 3{15}

x = 45

hence the fathers age is 45 and the sons age is 15 yrs
