then, 12 yrs later, their age be (8x +12) and (x+12).
so, on condition,
(8x +12)-(x+12) = 28
8x +12 -x -12 = 28
7x = 28
x = 4.

therefore, the present age of father is 32 yrs and son is 4 yrs.
