A concave mirror is a spherical mirror with its outer bulging surface silvered and inner surface acting as a reflecting surface. A concave mirror can converge incident rays to a point in front of it, i.e., the rays falling on a concave mirror converge at the focal point. In such a case, if sunlight falling on the mirror is focussed on a particular point on the paper, the concentration of light rays and heat at that point can actually burn the paper. Therefore, the man's statement is false.
