,n=10,d=100

Sn = 2n

[2a+(n−1)d]∴16500= 210

[2a+(10−1)100]

16500=5[2a+900]

16500=10a+4500

10a=12000

∴a=1200

Hence he saves Rs. 1200 in first year.
