Let, the price of the 2 articles are x and y respectively.
Now x+.75x=y-.3y
=>1.75x=0.7y So, y=2.5x
So, original price of the 2 articles are 2.5x+x=3.5x
Selling price of the 2 articles are 2*1.75x=3.5x
So, there is no loss or profit.

Solution:
For 1st article
SP = Rs. 550 gain = 25%
CP = (100 / 100 + gain% ) * 100
= Rs. 440
profit = 550 - 440
= Rs. 110
(1)Like this find cp for other article.
(2) Then find profit
(3) Then add the two profits
thus the sum of the two profits is the answer.
