Explanation:

The plane mirror is 2.5m away from him and the chart is 0.5 m far behind him so the distance from the chart to the plane mirror is

2.5 m + 0.5 m = 3 m

And the distance from the chart to the man in the plane mirror is 3 m + 3 m + 0.5 m = 6.5 m.

We took 3 m + 3 m bcoz we are also calculating the distance of the chart in the mirror, so we doubled up the distance.
