The distance between the boat and bridge: 10.60m

1. The distance between the man and the boat is 15m.

2. The angle of depression is 45°.  

3. Let the distance between the bridge and the boat be x.

4. sin(45°)=x/15

    x=15sin(45°)

    x=15*(1/√2)

    x=15(√2/2)=10.60

5. Therefore the distance between the boat and the bridge is 10.60
