Hi ,
i ) selling price of 10 eggs = sp = Rs 5
gain = g = 20%
Let Cost price of 10 eggs = Rs x
x = ( sp × 100)/ ( 100+ g )
= ( 5 × 100 ) / ( 100 + 20 )
= 500/ 120
x = 50/12
ii) By unitary method
The man buys number of eggs
with Rs 50 /12 = 10
How many eggs he buys with Rs 5 ?
Number of eggs the man can buy
With Rs 5 = ( 5 × 10 × 12 )/ 50
= 12
I hope this helps you.
