No of cots = 18
Gain = 3 cots.
% percentage gain = (3 *100)/18 = 16.66%.
Let X would be the CP of 18 cots.
So,
SP = X + 16.66% of X
1.166X = 16800
X = 14400. (Approx.)
CP per cot = 144000/18 = Rs. 800.

A man sold 18 cots at Rs.16,800. He gained profit of cost prize of 3 cots.

So, we can assume that he sold 18 +3=21 cots for Rs.16,800.
So, cost of 1 cot = Total cost ÷ Number of costs.
Cost of 1 cot = 16,800 ÷ 21
Cost of 1 cot = Rs.800

Hope it helps !! ;-)
