A man sold a chair and table together for rupees 760 thereby making a profit of 25% on chair and 10% on table . By selling them together for rs. 767. 50 he would have made a profit of 10% on the chair and 25% on the table. Find the cost price of each​

Answer:

Let the CP of chair and table be xand y respectively.

Given,

Rs.760=110%×y+125%×x=1.1x+1.25y 

And

Rs.767.5=110%×x+125%×y=1.1y+1.25x 

Solving above two equations,

we get,

x=300 and y=350

So, cost of chair=Rs.300.

and cost of chair=Rs.350.
