=> Cost Price = C - (5/100)C = 0.95C

=> Selling Price = 1.1C + 56

he could have gained 25%

=> Selling Price = 0.95C + (25/100)0.95C  = 1.25 * 0.95C

Equating both selling Price

=> 1.25 * 0.95C = 1.1C  + 56

=> 0.0875C = 56

=> C = 640

Cost Price = Rs 640
