A man sold his bicycle for ₹405

let the cost price x

he looses x/10 rupees when he sold it.

so his selling price = x-(x/10)=9x/10

so the eq is

9x/10=405

x= 450

the actual cost of the bicycle is 450 rupees

Answer:

C.P = 450 , Loss = 10%

Step-by-step explanation:

Le the C.P. be Rs x

Loss = 1/10 of x = x/10

S.P. = C.P. - Loss

⇒ x - x/10

⇒9x /10

Also S.P. = 405

So, 9x/10 = 405

⇒ 9x = 405 × 10

⇒ 9x = 4050

⇒ x = 4050/9

⇒ x = 450

So, C.P = 450

Loss = x/10 = 450/10 = 45

Loss % = (45 × 100) / 450 = 10%

Hence, Required answer is C.P = 450 , Loss = 10%
