1-Selling price of bicycle= 405
Let the cost price be x
x - (1/10× x)= 405
x-x/10= 405
9x/10= 405
9x=405×10
9x=4050
x=4050/9
x=450

Therefore Cost price was rupees 450.

2- Loss = Cost price - Selling price
= 450-405
=45
Loss percentage = Loss/Cost price × 100
= 45/450×100
= 10%.
