SOLUTION :

___________

Le the C.P. be Rs x

Loss = 1/10 of x = x/10

S.P. = C.P. - Loss

⇒ x - x/10

⇒9x /10

Also S.P. = 405

So, 9x/10 = 405

⇒ 9x = 405 × 10

⇒ 9x = 4050

⇒ x = 4050/9

⇒ x = 450

So, C.P = 450

Loss = x/10 = 450/10 = 45

Loss % = (45 × 100) / 450 = 10%

Required Answer = [ C.P = 450 , Loss = 10%]

Answer:

SP=405

LET CP BE X

therefore loss=1/10ofX

As, SP=CP-L

=>X-X/10

=>9X/10

ALSO,SP=405

Therefore,

9X/10=405

=>9X=4050

=>X=450(ANS)

L=450-405

=45

L%=(L/CP)*100%

=(45/450)*100%

=1/10*100%

=10%(ANS)
