In this case there will be always loss. The selling price is immaterial Hence, loss % = (common loss and gain %) 2 /10= (16/10) %=( 64/25) %=2.56%

Answer:

There is loss of Rs. 35518.31 on whole transaction.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

SP of each flat = Rs. 675958

on 1 flat profit percentage = 16%

on 2nd flat loss percentage = 16%

To find: Overall Profit or loss on transaction.

CP of flat 1 on which profit takes place,

CP=\frac{SP\times100}{100+P}

CP=\frac{675958\times100}{100+16}

CP=\frac{67595800}{116}

CP = Rs. 582722.41

CP of flat 1 on which loss takes place,

CP=\frac{SP\times100}{100-L}

CP=\frac{675958\times100}{100-16}

CP=\frac{67595800}{84}

CP = Rs. 804711.90

Total CP = 582722.41 + 804711.90 = Rs. 1387434.31

Total SP = 2 × 675958 = Rs. 1351916

Clearly CP > SP

There is loss.

Loss amount = 1387434.31 - 1351916 = Rs. 35518.31

Therefore, There is loss of Rs. 35518.31 on whole transaction.
